Role description:
As a Commercial Engineer at Carve Ceramics, you are responsible for designing and calculating exclusive ceramic products for the high-end market. Your creativity and technical insight are reflected in the 3D design of unique products that meet the demanding standards of superyacht construction and luxury interiors.
Your responsibilities include:
- 3D Designing: You transform customer desires into impressive, constructive 3D designs that are both aesthetic and functional.
- Commercial Input: As a key figure between the client and execution, you provide commercial insights to ensure that the designs are not only visually appealing but also meet their functional and budgetary requirements.
- Translating Client Requests into Designs: You are capable of translating complex client requirements into technically feasible and challenging designs.
- Preparation for Production: You are closely involved in preparing for production, ensuring that the transition from design to production is smooth.
- Developing Working Drawings: You provide detailed working drawings to the production team, enabling them to create ceramic products with precision and craftsmanship.
- Outsourcing: As a team, we work closely with external parties who perform (part of) production and engineering for us. You maintain contact with these parties and manage and monitor the exchange of design data.
- Communication with Suppliers and Partners: You maintain close contact with suppliers and partners (e.g., external engineers), discussing the design and coordinating any quality requirements. This ensures smooth collaboration and high-quality materials.
What we expect from you:
– A passion for exclusive ceramic products and an affinity for the high-end market.
– Knowledge of ceramics and/or natural stone is a plus, but not necessary.
– Accuracy, being a team player, and having a broad interest are essential.
– Experience with 3D design tools and technical understanding of ceramic production processes.
– Commercial insight and the ability to translate customer needs into design solutions.
– Independence, proactivity, and creativity.
– Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
